On March 5, 2024, Partner David Rutherford and New York Associate Cassidy Brillhart obtained summary judgment in a sexual abuse case brought pursuant to New York’s Child Victims Act. The plaintiff, a former resident at a private school in Upstate New York providing residential and treatment programs for adolescent females, alleged that she had been in a sexually abusive relationship with a teacher at the school.
