On July 9, 2024, Partner David Rutherford and New York Associate Cassidy Brillhart obtained summary judgment dismissing premises liability claims asserted against a family-owned Dance Studio pending in Nassau County. The co-defendant, a high school where the dance studio hosted annual shows, was also sued. The plaintiff appealed the Supreme Court’s decision as to the co-defendant’s dismissal only.
