Biography

Alexandra E. Waterbury is an attorney in Rutherford Christie’s New York office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, including product liability, warranty, and consumer protection matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Waterbury practiced defense litigation, where she represented luxury car manufacturers in breach of warranty and lemon law claims. She also gained experience through judicial and litigation internships focused on legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Ms. Waterbury received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2025. During law school, she served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Cecelia G. Morris of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and as a teaching assistant for two years in legal writing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, from Columbia University in 2021.

Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Waterbury trained extensively in classical ballet and performed professionally in New York City.
