On January 22, 2026, New York Office Attorneys David Rutherford and Diana Mulderig secured a defense verdict following a three-week trial in Elizabeth New Jersey.  The plaintiff had suffered severe burns when scalding hot coffee which had been obtained at a Drive-Thru spilled onto her lap. It was alleged that the cup and lid were defectively designed and manufactured by our client.  Counsel for the plaintiff refused all settlement offers prior to trial, demanding that the jury determine the value of the case.
