Biography

Raina R. Azarkhail is an associate with Rutherford & Christie, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. She practices civil defense litigation in State and Federal courts, focusing in the areas of general liability, premises liability, trucking, motor vehicle accidents, uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage, and workers’ compensation.

Raina was born and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Law. She served as a teacher’s assistant in criminal law and received the Presidential Service Award two years in a row for volunteering over 100 hours to the community. Raina earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Georgia State University College of Law in May 2019 and graduated with high distinction in Pro Bono and Public Service. While at Georgia State Law, Raina was the Vice President of the Student Health Law Association and Treasurer of the Immigration Law Society and competed in the 8th Annual Health Law Regulatory and Compliance Competition in Maryland, placing 3rd in the country. She also clerked for the Honorable Kimberly M. Esmond Adams in the Fulton County Superior Court and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention during law school.

Raina is admitted to practice law in State and Superior Courts across Georgia, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court of Georgia and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She is currently involved in the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and the Iranian American Bar Association.
