Biography

Breandan Cotter is a civil litigation defense attorney at Rutherford & Christie LLP in Atlanta, Georgia.  He focuses on litigation related to premises liability, catastrophic injury, negligent security, food safety, business disputes, and workers compensation. Brendan’s clients include a wide array of leading national retail and hospitality brands, as well as local and small businesses.

Breandan received his JD from Georgia State University College of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and Graduate Research Assistant. He also participated in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition and the Health Law Partnership Legal Services Clinic. Prior to joining Rutherford & Christie, he worked as civil litigation paralegal in the areas of wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and medical malpractice since 2014.

Breandan is a graduate of Boston College, with a degree in History and Hispanic Studies. Brendan is a native of Atlanta and attended St. Pius X Catholic High School, where he was a National Merit Commended Student and Varsity Basketball player.

Breandan is licensed in Georgia and the Northern District of Georgia. He is currently involved in the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the DeKalb Bar Association, and the Franchise and Distribution Law, Tort & Insurance Law, General Practice and Trial Law, Worker’s Compensation, Young Lawyers, and Construction Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia.
