
Arika J. Song
Biography
Arika Song is an Associate in Rutherford & Christie’s Atlanta office. She practices civil defense litigation in state and federal courts, focusing her practice areas of dram shop, premises liability, and motor vehicle liability.
Arika earned her J.D. and Advanced Certificate in Public International Law from the two-year accelerated law program (SCALE) at Southwestern Law School, and her B.A., cum laude, from New York University. During law school, Arika clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Hardcore Gang and Crimes Against Peace Officers units, where she worked on cases involving gang crimes targeting police officers. Arika also clerked for the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) where she worked with her supervising attorneys to draft amicus curiae briefs for submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
Arika began her legal career practicing international environmental regulatory and compliance law with a firm in Washington D.C., where she applied both U.S. and South Korean law to advise Fortune 500 corporations on compliance issues related to environmental, human rights, health, and safety issues for their operations throughout the U.S. and South Korea. Arika then returned to her home state of Georgia to practice civil litigation at Rutherford & Christie.
